Description of 1983 Saab 900

Time to sell my nice, lean, tock 8v Turbo. Body and interior are in excellent condition. Repaint and interior done by previous owner 5-6 years ago. Headliner is in great shape. Dash does have a cap on it and while not perfect, s better than the usual cracked dashes these usually have. It has always been garaged in the 4.5 years I've owned it. Rust was repaired by previous owner as well and has not come back. There are no bad spots anywhere but are a couple small bubbles on the sunroof, ight front fender, nd hood.

It runs and drives fine for a Sunday-driver but it could use some more work to really enjoy it, think. Gearbox has some play and could be rebuilt. The engine runs fine, ut is a bit tired and could use a rebuild or even a 16v turbo swap. I have a spare one of those that I'd be willing to include in the sale.

Will include the Ronal wheelsand the stock manhole cover wheels. Tires are fine.

It could use a better stereo. I put some other speakers in it but think the head unit is bad. I have a vintage Blaupunkt radio to include.

Odo doesn't work. 150k miles is a pretty close guess for miles, hough. I have a spare gauge cluster from an '88 should the buyer want it.

It has some electrical gremlins as the battery doesn't want to stay charged. I replaced the battery and leave it disconnected in the garage, ut does go flat easily. I haven't been able to track down this drain on the battery.

Has AC but doesn't currently work.

Probably needs new shocks and bushings underneath as handling is a bit soft, ut drives fine as is.

The sunroof is stuck shut but doesn't leak.

Brakes and exhaust were recently replaced.

Saab emblems not installed but included.

Overall, good example of an 83 900 that isn't quite a show winner but could be with a little work. Thisis not a car you'd want to rely on to drive every day in it's current state. I'd love to see it go to a good home.
