Description of 1972 Saab 96 v4 2 Door Coupe

Meet “Olivia”, a 1972 Saab Model 96 with a V4 engine. Named Olivia by her original owner because of her olive color, her original owner owned her from 1972 until her death in May of 2016.

Olivia is mostly original, very sound mechanically and runs great. She has a 4 speed on the column and the transmission and clutch operate flawlessly. The free-wheeling works great as well.

The speedometer, clock, dome light, and AM/FM Cassette player work and she comes with an ABBA cassette tape so she can remain tuned to her Swedish heritage.

The interior is in very, very condition and I recently had the seats reupholstered because the original drivers and passenger seats had split along the seams. I was unable to find material that replicated the original green upholstery and texture, so I had the seats recovered in black and a similar texture. The new color of seats complement the green and black interim trim perfectly. The original green carpet is in good condition.

All glass and mirrors are in great condition as are the lights, lenses and reflector.

Olivia has very, very little rust and a few dents around the right fender wells. The dents should be an easy fix. Also, she has the original paint, but it has faded in a number of spots and could use a new paint job.

She has 104,000 original miles and I have numerous additional parts I collected that I will include in the sale. Those include a rear bumper with trailer hitch, additional hood latch, additional air filter housing, additional real taillight lenses, additional working clock, and some of the original upholstery (I kept the large pieces that were in good shape).

Olivia is a real head turner because of her uniqueness. She is a blast to drive and is so much fun. I am selling her because I no longer have the garage space, the time, nor the funds to take her to the next level she deserves.

Original owner's manual and shop manual are included.

A $500 deposit is required immediately and the balance of the funds due within 24 hours. I will assist with shipping. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or for additional pictures.
