Shelby GT350. Up for sale from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, olorado. This 1967 Shelby GT 350 #67200F0016 is one of the first Shelby's off of the production line. It was first used as a publicity show car to promote the new GT 350. Just imagine back in the day the number of people that saw the new GT 350 for the first time. This car got a lot of attention! Being an early car you could say it was one of the experimental models. Not only did it have the side marker lights in the upper side scopes there were a number of features that were different about the early cars. You can learn about these first Shelby's on the Saac web site. In the registry there is information about the previous owners and some of the warranty work that was done on the car and that it has a clean history. The Shelby tag is a replacement and the Ford and Shelby vin numbers are stamped in the engine bay aprons. The ford "K" code vin number is also stamped into the block and transmission. The motor still retains the hipo heads, ntake manifold and carburetor. The distributor was replaced but not with the correct one. At some point in time the motor, ransmission and all of the boltons were rebuilt. The front suspension/ brake system was completely rebuilt and is tight. As you can also see the interior was redone and is still in very good condition. The motor starts right up. No noises, moke or leaks. All forward/ reverse gears engage smoothly with the clutch. I have had this car up to speed on the highway and in the neighborhood and it runs out good! The hood, ight rear quarter panel and the long floor pans were replaced but the car shows no sign of heavy collision or other rust issues. Some of the paint on this car I believe could be original.
