Description of 1965 Shelby Roadster

1965 Backdraft Cobra Replica

Build #795 in 2009. This exact car was a model car on their website for a long time.

6051 miles.

Heritage Blue w/ White racing stripes. It’s a Ford Racing color from the Gulf livery days. This is the same color of blue used on the 2006 Ford GT that recently sold for $473K at Barrett Jackson ! Pictures don’t do it justice. If I had a dollar for every time I heard “love the color”, would be a millionaire! Be prepared to bring home a trophy if you enter a car show!

Roush 427R rated at 535hp. I swapped the original oil pan for a 10qt Canton Racing oil pan because of clearance issues. The original oil pan was below the bell housing, ow it is above it.

Engine Bay mirror enhancements on fire walls. Super nice BackDraft touch. (see photos)

Tremec TKO600/ 5 speed with short throw shifter. 5th gear is really tall for good fuel economy when cruising. Torque is everywhere with this monster motor.

Stainless Steel Sidepipes with guards.

BMW suspension, rakes, ear end. Square Tube Chassis.

17” Halibrand knock offs, lead hammer, afety wire, nd pliers are included)

Goodyear Eagle F1 runflat tires. 235/45 Front-315/35 Rear

Quick jack bumpers

Leather seats with Crowe 4-point quick release racing harness

Leather steering wheel

Shift light/ integrated into leather dashboard (see photo)

Full car cover

Matching cockpit cover

Extra drivers seat cushion with hole for 5 point racing (driver only) harness

I have taken this car to Roebling Road Raceway once for a high performance driving event and attended a wannagofast ½ mile shootout in Clayton GA. This car has never been raced competitively, as been well maintained, nd is an absolute blast to drive.

I inherited another car that has been in my family since 1970 that has to stay in the family and this one has to go!

Please be aware this car is titled as a 1965. That’s good and bad. The good is, ou will likely be exempt from emissions testing, he bad is, ost banks don’t make regular car loans on cars over 7 years of age. So unless you can pay cash you will likely need to make alternative financing arrangements.

Reserve is set well below the appraisal value I obtained for insurance purposes. You can look at pricing for other Backdraft Replicas for sale to get an idea of how much they sell for. There is a reason BDR cars bring their asking prices and that it is because they are worth it. Just ask anyone who owns one.

I live in the Atlanta, A area and the car is for sale locally. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup.

This car is sold as is and there is no warranty.

I can be reached at 678-333-8117 for any additional questions but please, nly call if you are seriously considering purchasing this car.
