Description of 1965 Shelby Cobra

Selling our Custom 65 Shelby Cobra Everett Morrison Custom Replica. Its been in the family a long time, we just don't have time to enjoy it, or finish the last couple of touches it needs because of our new start up company. The story of how it was acquired and the timeline for the build can be answered later if you're interested. Here's a general breakdown of what it has and what it needs...
- LS2 Motor & 6 Spd Trans (has a little over 11k miles on it). Bought LS2 with 9k miles on it, then put over 2k miles on it since.
- DO NOT EMAIL ME ASKING ME WHY WE PUT AN LS IN A COBRA
- Corvette Running Gear
- Wilwood Corvette Braking System
- Powder Coated Frame
- Custom Paint
- Custom CNC Gauges & Fuel Door
- Cobra Seats (mustang seats) have original bucket seats as well.
- Custom Leather Interior
- New Trunk Weather Stripping
- New Air Intake
- CD Player w/Disc Changer in Trunk
- Quality Speakers and Amp
- Anti Theft Shut-Off Switch in trunk
EXTRAS (Will need Installing)
Have extras that will be included and will need to be installed.
- Prothane Corvette Bushing Kit (NEW)
- Corvette Rear Leaf Spring (like new) & New Bolts
- Hood Latches (NEW)
- Headlight Kit (it has perfectly working headlights in the front. But the black plastic housing had a small crack in it so we purchased another complete kit. Just haven't installed it yet because its not serious).
- Control arm brackets (NEW)
- Mesh Screen Vents (NEW) See in pics
NEEDS
- Needs the above extras to be installed
- Needs Leather Interior door panels to be re-attached with adhesive
- Needs NEW DOOR LATCHES!!! Its hard to find quality latches for these kits, the drivers side door latch is a little lose but it has latches that work for now.
- Needs leaf spring spacers, or other corvette leaf spring installed. This is highly recommended for stability and safety purposes. Its drivable now with the custom leaf spring but we wanted to go back to the original type leaf spring and just ordered one. If we have time we will work on this over the next couple of weeks, otherwise you will need to do this.
- Needs Seat Belts (if your state requires on kits for this year) I have seat belt options printed in file.
- Passenger Seat needs to have the slider locked. It needs to be taken out to do this. We were going to purchase Shelby Cobra specific racing seats from summit so we just never did this because we were going to replace them all together. I have seats we were purchasing printed and in file.
- A little better cable management behind the dash where CD player is. We were deciding on a newer usb player to replace the one it has but just never made that decision and never spent the time to clean up wiring until we were certain what we wanted.
- Oil Pan Gasket. Its been a while and there is some visible oil on edge of pan. Nothing major at all. We were wanting to replace this and would recommend that this be done at your convenience.
- Needs a threaded center stick out hub for rear rim. We have the lug nut cover plate and knock off, just the threaded piece is missing. (Again, if we have time will search for a replacement online)
I think I have the major stuff down, and sure there will be more questions. The needs are just simply what we haven't had the time to complete. We are extremely busy and travel a lot for work. We are also relocating during the construction of our shop so we will be in-between places. I have the vehicle garaged and will only show to serious buyers. This is still our dream car and not desperate to let it go, so do not inquire if you do not have the means to purchase.
We will consider partial trades within reason. Please do not waste my time with low ball offers and be respectful, as I will be respectful to you. $2,000 to hold. The rest we can work out.
