Description of 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk

I am selling my 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk. I bought this car from a young man who had bought it for his Grandfather who owned one as a younger man. His Grandfather got sick during their restoration efforts and passed away. The young man a contractor put it in his shop and due to a divorce needed to sell it. Now we cant prove it but the odometer does show 31000 miles. It did have the original bias tires and stock wheels on it. The original spare is still in trunk and it appears it hasn't been used. His Grandfather had a red fin as original car when the young man purchased was black so he painted them red. He began to change the door panels to black and red. I was going to keep it the original two tone green as headliner is in good shape and back side panels so door panels need restoring. The vinyl on front and rear seat is good. The cloth material on back seat is thin and on front the cloth inserts is worn away and is covered by an aftermarket seat cover. The owner purged the gas tank and lines and I replaced the carb with a re-manufactured carb $395.00. I just had the transmission and converter rebuilt $1495.00 as was getting it ready for road trips. I just put new $1500.00 Coker classic wide white walls on chrome smoothies with baby moon hub capswhichdramatically improved the ride and look. Asyoucan see in a couple of pictures what the car looked like when I got it with stock wheels, riginal bias tires andStudebakerhubcaps. The car attracts lots of thumbs up and attention. I recently got hurt and my days of crawling in and out and bringing it the rest of way back are placed on hold so I am selling it as is no reserve. I do reserve the right to end the auction as selling locally. If you know anything about 57 Silver Hawks they are worth a lot of money when completed either stock or modified. This is a good car for either. I put a thrush muffler on it with chrome tip for a bit of sound and bling. It blends in well.
