Description of 1964 Studebaker Studebaker

I will do my best to describe the car and if I have missed anything please ask questions. Classic Barn Find. I found the car at a tow service that had taken it from a body shop. The car had been brought into a shop for a small dent repair above the rear window. new paint and brake work back in the late 80's. The owner died while the car was in the shop and subsequently was left there. It was bounced around from a couple of different shops until it ended up at the tow service where I found it. When I took ownership of the car it was not running and was on rotted tires but a solid 95% rust free vehicle. The rear window had been taken out to do the small amount of body work. Since my purchase I have done the following:- Reinstalled rear window- New tires in the original build spec bias ply size of 6. 00 x 15. - Alignment- New fuel pump- New brakes: Turned drums. new pads. rebuilt master cylinder. new brake lines where needed. - New water pump- New battery- New distributor. plugs. wires. Full tune up. - New torque fly wheel with new main seals- Re-built carburetor: Changed to a 63 model due to two rebuilds on the 64 only to find out that those models are problematic. - Flushed system with all new fluids. - Compression check on all cylinders- good compression. - New muffler and tail pipe. - New front turn signal lenses. - Electrical cleaned up. The car was prepped for painting but not finished when I bought it. I have not done any additional work on that front. Part of the head liner is missing from around the rear window. when the window was removed. but all the clips are there. The car is a solid Southern California vehicle without any rust on the floors. rockers. frame. nbsp;doors or quarter panels. The door jam paint looks like new as does the paint around the trunk opening and in the engine bay at the firewall. There are 3 spots of rust: a few surface spots on the trunk lid (see picture). surface rust in the trunk floor (but floor is solid) and two rust through spots on the battery shelf. Dash has one small crack in it (see pics). All lights and electronics work as they should. Small scrape above right rear wheel well. Things that don't work are: Heater shift lever (never got to it plus it's So Cal so not much use) and interior dome light. Drivers lock sometimes stick. There is an antenna on the right fender but the car is a radio delete model so I can only assumes that at some point the previous owner added a radio but was removed. The dash was thankfully not cut up in the process so it must have just been a simple screw on model. There are cut outs on the rear package shelf for 2 speakers so it will need to be replaced. Not original seat upholstery but done in the correct pattern and very usable. Door panels in great shape. The car is registered and very road worthy. I drive it every Sunday. The longest trip so far was 400 miles and it performed just fine. I am unable to finish it. as much as I would like to and so my loss is someone else's gain. I have invested over $4000. 00 into it so far so would love to see it go to someone who loves these little 'plain wrap' cars as much as I do. Extra parts that come with the car:- A good clean used dash panel with clock. I was to change it out but keep my gauges as the original milage is less than the odometer on the new panel. - An extra pair of good used rear drums. I bought these when it wasn't clear if the original ones were worthy of using. These are really rare as they are 9" drums and near impossible to get anymore. Happy bidding.
