Description of 1929 Studebaker Commander

Beautiful and ready to show off is this 1929 Studebaker in one of my favorite Body Styles. The Close Coupled Sedan. This car runs and drives very nicely. the 6 cylinder engine pulls the car quite effortlessly and sounds wonderful doing so. The car carries good oil pressure and does not heat up. Brakes are mechanical and work well. This is a very original condition car with the exception of the paint and top which are newer. The body of the car is immaculate and is free of rust and dents nor does it appear to have ever had any rust or dents The cars paint is very nice as well as the orange wheels and pin-striping. The chrome on the car is all very nice. some of it is older but it appears the bumpers and grill shell have been re-chromed. Glass is all clear and good. The interior of the car is profoundly original and is in excellent condition considering it is 85+ years old and shows some but little wear and tear. It is missing the drivers door handle (inside) and has an incorrect window crank on one door. The crank mechanism for the windshield seems to be broken as well. Pretty much everything on the car works with the exception of the fuel gauge and the brake light. The headlight. horn and cowl light switches were been relocated from the steering wheel to the dash many years ago and the headlight switch could stand to be replaced as it is a little worn out. The grab bar on the back side of the seat is also broken in two spots but is complete. The ignition switch on the car works as it should however I do not have a key to lock it. nor do I have keys for the doors or side mount locks. Apparently these were lost many years ago. With a little effort I would ascertain that these could be produced by a qualified locksmith as I have done so on prior occasion. The charge was around $30 per lock/key with the ID codes at hand found on the locks themselves. I also noticed that the paint on the trunk appears to be of a lesser quality than the rest of the car and would probably benefit from a repaint if one so desired. The underside of the car is in original condition having never been restored and is very nice showing only surface rust as the car seems to have always been properly stored. The odometer is showing 1602 which is obviously not correct. It appears to have been replaced and the original is in the trunk. I am unaware of the car's actual mileage but would venture to say that it is a fairly low mileage car. All in all it is a wonderful and large and also uncommon depression era car that is in exceptional condition and ready to be thoroughly enjoyed by it's new owner. ALSO. I see that I have recently acquired some negative feedback from a buyer claiming he won a car I listed and I would not sell it to him. The truth of the matter is that the buyer completely ignored paying even the deposit on the car so yes I refused to give him the car. PLEASE IGNORE!!! and feel free to browse the rest of my feedback.
