Owned and cared for by an enthusiast and recently acquired to be offered for sale . Completely original with one respray over the years . Medium Gray Slate paint is very nice with one minor chip on rear passenger side ( see photos ). Interior is original and is very nice with age discolored carpets and minor wear on drivers seat and a spot on rear sea, both related to the woven upholstery . Dash has two wear spots . All powe, lights and gauges are in working order . Power Moonroof is inoperable . Original Wire Wheels with older tires in good condition . Air Condition is original and contains R12 refrigerant which will need service retrofit to R134 to be operable . The engin, transmissio, brake, suspension are in fantastic condition .***************************************This car runs and drives extra nice and has been road worthy and occasionally driven for the past many years .**************************************A great standout Avanti II for the buyer who wants a collector dependable driver to enjoy !**************************************************** Build History Wikipedia======================================== The Altman brothers introduced a slightly modified version of the car in 1965 under the brand name "Avanti II".[2]which initially had a 327cuin (5.4L)Chevrolet Corvetteengine. This evolved to the400, then thesmall-block 350, and then the305for 1981.[3]The 305cuin (5.0L) V8 had electronic engine controls, 155hp (116kW), and GM's Turbo 350 automatic transmission withlock-up. Building one of the 1980s Avanti IIs required 10 to 12 weeks, depending on special color or upholstery orders.[3]The last Avanti II made came off the line with aV6 enginefrom Roush and only one was made. After Nate Altman's death, Arnold Altman ran the company until it was sold in 1982.[4]From 1963 to 1985, Avanti IIs were built on the Studebaker-designed chassis, then the Chevrolet Monte Carlo chassis was used; Chevy discontinued the Monte Carlo in 1987, and Avanti switched to the Chevrolet Caprice chassis. ============================Purchase RequirementsHave Finances in Order Please !
