Description of 1960 Studebaker Lark

I purchased this Stude from a seller in Colville Wa in May. My intentions were to fly up and get the car from my relative's house and drive it back to California by myself. I flew up and drove the car around town. I found that I was uncomfortable with how the car handled with the 2-ply tires as well as having no power steering----I bit off more than I can chew. I also began to doubt my being able to drive it back to California by myself, so I have decided to sell it. It will come with the Owner's Manual. Please Note: I will be keeping the license plate as a souvenir---it will not be going with the car. I paid for it via Escrow.com. If instead you wish to pay by check, it will have to be done at a Bank with my Brother there to verify funds. Please see below for the original advert.
"This 1960 Studebaker Lark is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable."I am selling a 1960 Studebaker Lark for my parents. Unfortunately, we don't know a lot about this little car. My Dad found it in North Carolina a while back and bought it for my Mom, thinking she could tool around in it on occasion. While it sat in storage over the winter, she found another little rig that she enjoys with four wheel drive....so "Carolina" is now looking for a new home.
This little car appears to have been restored at some point. It has a flathead six cylinder engine that runs like a top.....although it would benefit from some carburetor tinkering. I not quite sure that it has the correct carburetor. The linkage needs some reconfiguring.
It has automatic transmission that shifts through all the gears correctly. The brakes work great. The tires are in great condition...but are the old style bias ply...and tend to give the car the characteristics of a drunken sailor at times!
As far as I can tell...after spending some time with her....everthing works as it should....Lights....horn....old tube style radio (after warming up of course)....heatere.....and fan...windshield wipers etc.
The body is very solid and rust free....as is the undercarriage which looks to be undercoating too. It has newer paint which looks to be of good quality. All of the glass is good and works as it should. Interior is exceptionally clean and in wonderful condition. This cute little bugger gets lots of attention. It is in great condition........BUT NOT PERFECT!!!Please ask questions prior to bidding.
