The Bad:
- Rusted RF Fender- Small hole on top of each front fender from previous mirror setup- Cold Start and Full-Throttle issue. (Needs injector Servicing at minimum).- Seized Turbo (CT26, ommon Turbo. Quoted $350 for rebuild).- Cut Springs (Low, ut not over bouncy)- Tachometer cuts out above 30mph
The Skinny:
This was a one owner vehicle that found its way nearly to the crusher. I rescued her after the original owner's grandson chopped the springs, inkered and gave up. The original 2.8 5MGE was toast so I opted for a 7MGTE I had laying around. This car has been my back-burner side project for the last few years and was even my daily driver for about 6 months. Body and paint is still in pretty good condition, hen waxed she really still shines! She won "Best Toyota" and "Best Under Construction" at last year's Import Face-off. Since that time, he has been parked and shamefully neglected. I really do not want to let her go, ut I have no time or extra money to do anything else at this point. There are a few driveability issues, ut she does run and drive consistently without any overheating issues. I recently had the tank vatted, s I had been having some fuel issues. There was a lot of built up rust in the tank and I highly suggest servicing the Injectors. I believe most if not all the performance issues are fuel related. The turbocharger seized last year before and she has been resting in the garage since. Pulls very hard and alot of fun with operational turbo. It is a CT26, hich is very common on Toyotas. Used on Supras, R2, nd Celica's. Replacement, pgrade, r rebuild options are quite affordable. Clean and Clear Title. Interior 8.5/10. Any questions feel free to ask!
