This fully restored 1987 Toyota Van Four Wheel Drive 4x4 Custom Camper is up for sale. If you’re looking at this auction, ou may already know these are rare, ighly coveted vehicles. The 4WD’s were only offered in the US for 3 years. This one began as a fully accessorized LE van with silver paint and gray interior. It originally came with everything: Power Windows, ower Locks, ower Mirrors, ir Conditioning front and rear, og Lights, ruise Control… typical LE Toyota Van equipment. Compared to other vans (Vanagon, urovan, printer, ord E-series, tc), he Toyota Van/Wagon is known for its nimble, conomical, un-to-drive approach to minivans. It’s a SportVan! Fuel economy is in the 20-26mpg range depending on how you drive. They are known for their longevity and practicality- especially favored by the outdoor crowd- they will carry your mountain bikes, ang gliders, limbing gear, ids, and anything in between. There has never been any other vehicle quite like them. The special thing about this van: it has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. A common problem with buying an older vehicle is that repairs just seem to continue forever. This approach rebuilt every possible wear item on the entire van. Everything is new or rebuilt; the Engine, ransmission, ransfer case, ifferential, ir Conditioning, ooling System…every item is new or has been professionally rebuilt to new standards. The transmission is the 5 speed manual with the 2 speed transfer case. The axles are the lower geared 4.77:1 differentials from the automatic transmission. Warn manual hubs replaced the original automatics. It sits on 15” polished alloy wheels. The rebuilt engine only has 2500 miles on it. No expense was spared. The interior is completely customized, ound proofed and upholstered in Ultrasuede. The camper interior is impressive, ompletely custom built. LED lights around the ceiling, moon roof in the back. A functional galley with refrigerator, tove, ink and storage is up forward. Accent-color concealed roller shades for all windows, hich are tinted. Lots of storage pockets along the sidewalls. A 13 gallon water tank, C power & battery charger, nd dual House batteries under the rear seat, ots of 12 volt sockets. The removable rear seat folds down into a nearly queen sized bed. There’s even a Porta Potti that hides under the rear seat. The whole camper interior comes out quickly and you can still haul a motorcycle or a sheet of plywood. The rig as a whole is classy, tudied,and refined;the quantities of time, nergy and money invested put this van in a class by itself.
