1986 Toyota MR2 5 Speed 2-Door Coupe

Since 1987 I have continuously owned a 1986 Toyota MR2. This is the third one. The first one was lost by collision with 160,000 miles on it. The second one I sold on eBay with 308,000 miles on it when I bought this one. Because I needed a larger vehicle for work, his MR2 was my second car and as such it was only driven during the summer and garaged during the winter, ith only about 2,000 miles being driven each year. The car drives very well and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

There are a few things that don't work on this car that I have found also failed on the MR2s that I had previously owned. The parking brake cables are seized, nd the Air Conditioning does not work. The radio will lose power intermittently and when it happens all memory presets are lost.

A few years ago the car was backed into from a parking space. The damage was at the right side rear wheel well, hich was a bit rusty at the time. When it went to the body shop for repair I had both sides repaired with steel replacing the rusted area. There is a very small area of rust showing on each side of the vehicle. The front and rear bumpers have been more recently repainted and their color is a bit more vivid than the rest of the car.

The drivers side power window jerks while moving up or down. It has been like that since I bought the car and has never failed to work.

HKS exhaust is installed and sounds great.

Genuine Toyota leather key fob bought at a Toyota dealer in the 1980's is included. The original leather wrapped gear shift lever is also included, ut in hot weather adhesive oozes from the top of it.

This is a great fun sports car. Put the windows down, op the sunroof, nd enjoy the drive.
