Description of 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser 1979 Toyota FJ40 LandCruiser Red with Gray,Nice

The Toyota Land Cruiser is the longest running model line in Toyota's history. The evolution of the FJ40 Land-Cruiser reached a high-point with the 1979 model. Standard features include front disc brakes, ear ambulance style doors and highway friendly gearing (3:70).

Our 1979 FJ 40 is a nice example of a sympathetic cosmetic restoration. Our 1979 FJ 40 is a nice example of a sympathetic cosmetic restoration. It's fresh out of the Rosner family collection after having been displayed and demonstrated at our Toyota dealerships for many years. The exterior has been refinished in the in the original Freeborn red with complementing Shale gray interior. The seats have been covered as original and our Land Cruiser has the rear mounted folding, ump seats with OEM roll bar. The jump seats add to the combined passenger and cargo carrying capabilities of the FJ40. The white hardtop complements the red exterior and the original style gray, ix lug wheels. For true open air travel, he roof and doors can be removed in concert with the fold down windshield. The mileage on our Land Cruiser is 104,099 miles.

The underside of our FJ40 has been refinished and the running gear refreshed. The cosmetic/mechanical refurbishing of our Land Cruiser should not be considered a frame off, ut and bolt restoration. Under the hood, he engine and exhaust system appear as original.

The FJ40 has plenty of power and torque thanks to the legendary, ix cylinder "2F"engine producing 135 horsepower and 210 foot pounds of torque. That power is transmitted through a bullet-proof four speed transmission to a manually locking hub four wheel drive system.
