Description of 1983 Toyota Other SR-5

Unique opportunity to own a very rare limited edition 1st generation of Toyota's legendary 4x4 Truck. This is an original, stock, looks just as it drove out of the Showroom of Denbigh Toyota of Virginia back in March of 1983, (except for the added foglightsand new tires). Owned by the original owner for 31 years before I acquired it a few years ago. This rare truck has been well maintained, always garaged, and never driven in winter. I have all original paperwork and service records back to day one, along with the DealersInvoice and mint condition owners manual.
This was a very limited edition, the "Mirage" package consisted of factory Metallic Grey paint and contrasting Mirage graphics on sides and hood, alsoon factoryrollbar and tailgate. Included also wasFactory Moonroof, Power Steering and Brakes, Chrome SR-5 Wheels, special tubular Toyota rollbar and rear bumperand Limited Edition badge on dash. I have done a lot of research since purchasing this unique truck and have only found one other one that is in poor shape and in pieces currently. There are pictures of others floating around the internet, most are heavily modified, I have not been able to find another "survivor" stock example like this oneand I believe this may be one of the last ones aroun, if not the last original one.....a rare bird indeed.
The truck runs and drives excellen, it now has 104,xxx original miles which works out to be only 3,150miles a year. This truck has never been offroaded or abused, the original owner bought it in his 50's and drove it into his 80's according to his daughter from whom I purchased this truck.
The interior is in excellent condition and everything works as it should, even the factory AM-FM radio. The radiator was recently replaced due to a small persistant leak and the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires have only about 500 miles on them. Still has the original spare tire mounted underneath.The dash is crack free which is rare on these 1st Gens. The paint is not perfect as its a 33 year old truck but still has a good shine to it, all sheet metal is original with no accident or damage or rust.
This is a no reserve auction as its hard for me to put a price on this rare example, so I will let the market decide its value. Only bid if you have the fund, please check first with your wife, girlfriend, mistress, or all three if you need to get "permission"....and all funds must clear first before the truck leaves the premises, I will work with your transport co. to help load if needed.
