Description of 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser fj40

Price includes shipping to the US! (east and west coast) For confirmation of shipping port locations please contact me prior to placing a bid. We are a registered business with offices/work units and appropriate businessbank accounts.

We have 6 other Land cruisersall in varying stages of build put will be advertised on here soon. If you require any info/pics on these please do ask!

I have for sale this wonderful Landcruiser 40 series. It's the BJ40 with the 3 litre diesel engine. The car has been bought back to life with a full repair (I have over a hundred pics of the build). The car was totally dismantled in 2011 and fully repaired/restored; this included the chassis being removed striped, shot blasted etc. The body was removed, all parts removed, mounted on a spit and had all problem areas rectified with new sheet metal. The suspension was overhauled with triangulated suspension on the rear and trailing arms for the front etc with coil springs added to increase stability. Both front and rear axels were taken apart and fitted with new seals, bearings etc. This is the ultimate go anywhere vehicle; fit a roof rack and off you go!

This car is now at the stage where it is ready to be painted, I have advertised it so if anybody would prefer to paint themselves then they have that choice alternatively I can have the car painted for any potential buyer if they so wish (any colour or the originalgreen). Being at this stage of the build the metal work is clearly visibleso no hidden issues hiding under new shiny paintwork; this being a real problem now due to the large number of rusted cars being given a paint job and being sold as "restored".

I can send the car with all things pre-fitted so that you can strip down yourself to paint or stripped down with all pieces placed within boxes the truck ready to be fitted once painted (just to make it a little easier).
As many will know the standard B series engine found in the BJ is a very good unit but is lacking in the mid range; to solve this a turbo was added and ran at a reliable 0.3 bar of pressure, this really transforms the otherwise slow and lazy feel of the standard unit. the car runs without an issue and I would recommend this addition to all BJ owners.
Another addition to this BJ40 is that it has had a hydraulic power steering system installed, this has completely transformed the drive of the car! no more two handed, full strength manoeuvres!
Some of the extras include:
- leather front seats (very comfortable)
- front heating unit
- seats with belts in the rear
- power steering
- Cooper Discoverer STT tyres
- tow hitch
- 24v winch (not shown in pics)
- Rancho RS5000 shocks
- etc etc

The truck drives spot on, accelerates with ease and steers effortlessly, the brakes have been changed for new discs and calipers all round so braking is brilliant. The car is fitted with the big Cooper STT wheels tyres (as shown in the photos) to give it a very purposeful look.

This week the truck was put through its MOT test (road worthiness test here in the UK) which it passed with flying colours!!! so the car has 12 months MOT and all usual paperwork such as V5 registrationdocument (title) etc. During it's MOT the tester was shocked to see the car is a 1977 model remarking looking at it's condition it would easily pass as a new vehicle! (not surprising really as it has been rebuilt).

for more info you can contact me on00447761835919I have Whatsapp (the messenger app) so you can call or text! If you require any pics of any specific areas of the truck then send me a text/email and i'll post them back to you.

Please take a look at my seller feedback, I have sold many cars on eBay and all have been as described if not better than described!
I require a $200 deposit at the end of auction (unless with prior agreement) within 12 hours (this is to make sure the buyer is committed to the sale).

I have sold a number of Landcruisers to the US and make sure the transaction is smooth and without any issues. I will help with the registration process (ISF etc) which is quick and simple. I use a Miami, Florida based international shipping company (who I have used a number of times) who deal with the customs process (If required I can provide details to enable any potential buyers to speak to the aforementioned company/past buyers to verify any queries).
