Description of 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser

1988 Toyota Land Cruiser - BY OWNER, OUTSTANDING CONDITION!
Up for bid is my 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 - Excellent condition and one of the nicest you will find. 175K original miles, clean title, clean Carfax, no accidents, garaged, and located in Sacramento, CA. Comes with YEARS of records/receipts, owners manual, and even the original Build Sheet from Japan with hand-checked notes from the assembly line!
Freeborn red exterior in great condition, routinely detailed and always garaged. The original paint, even at 30 years old, still has a silky feel and nice shine to it. There are no dents, no door dings, and pretty much every time I take it out. Everything works! A/C blows ice-cold, power windows and locks work great, even the tailgate. I put new shocks on the tailgate/liftgate as well. This truck has the original Toyota stereo. Tires are BF Goodrich all-terrain and next to new condition, tons of tread left. It also has a brand new grill and headlight surround (the original had the typical flaking as they get and I have the originals for the new buyer). The rubber lock surround on the tailgate and Toyota rear plate (chrome, says "Toyota" above the license plate) are also brand new, replaced with OEM parts.
The grey interior is basically flawless. Without a doubt this has been a non-smoking vehicle since new, smells clean, no rips or tears, dash is perfect with no cracks, carpet has zero stains, and headliner is perfect as well. All seats are perfect, no cracks in the vinyl whatsoever.
I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. The Land Cruiser has spent nearly its entire life in North Carolina and for the last year in Northern California. Mechanically it is in excellent condition, runs excellent, drives straight, no funny noises or quirks. I'd hop in it and drive anywhere in a moment's notice without hesitation. I have had the same local mechanic for years who is amazed at the condition of this Cruiser and who has checked it out thoroughly. Recent service includes oil change as well as valve cover gasket completed 4/25/18.
Other notes: This is a 30-year old Land Cruiser, and it's as nice as you'll find, however, there are a few flaws which I want to be clear about. Body: There are two small spots where there was rust, both tiny and not even noticeable.. one at the bottom of the driver door and another just to the left of the license plate in rear. I have close-up photos and for any serious buyers I'll get a link to over 150 high definition photos that document the vehicle from every angle. Only upon a super close examination would you even notice these two. The truck is 99.9% rust-free. Rear bumper: Excellent overall, but small imperfection that only at the right angle can you notice this. Driver side mirror has a very slight shake driving down the road, but it's minor and not to the degree where it is an annoyance. Additionally, when I bought the vehicle there were a couple of dents in the back quarter panels that I had professionally repaired. I have before and after photos as well so that it's evident these were cosmetic and NOT from an accident. There was a small area of paintwork and matched to perfection by one of the best pros out there. Also, there are a few small drops of oil up front after it's driven and sits for several days. It is not leaking oil to the point where any oil must be topped off, etc. I am told by my mechanic that it is NOT the rear main either as occasionally there are a couple of drops in the back as well. Just want to be up front on that as we're talking drops not puddles. The Land Cruiser is an accident-free, meticulously maintained vehicle, and being the age it is incredibly difficult to find in this top shape.
Being sold as-is and as far as payment goes, winning bidder to deposit $1,000 within 48 hours of winning bid via Paypal. Balance due within 3 days. I will help as much as I can with logistics/shipping and having the vehicle available for inspection, and as far as questions go, please message me for details. I am more than happy to provide link to many more high resolution photos and answer any questions. Last but not least, why am I selling? Getting a new Land Cruiser, probably a 2016 or 2017 model. Otherwise I'd never sell this FJ62 in a million years, it's an incredible vehicle.
