Description of 1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

This 1965 FJ Land Cruiser is a one of a kind. Its recent restoration wasn't just a coat of paint. This rare find comes with a nicely built 350 V8 coupled to a NP 435 4 speed with suspension that is certain to get you in and out of the toughest terrain if you choose to use in that fashion. Its current use has been more of a warehouse conversation piece and a little bit of weekend joy riding. Maybe a car show here or there. It has not seen mud or rocks since its restore. There is virtually no rust on this vehicle. It comes with a full soft top and full soft doors. The speakers mounted to the roll cage are bluetooth technology and work great. This one can be driven home. It will be mechanically serviced and inspected one last time after completion of sale and deposit has been made so the buyer can jump in and drive as soon as they take over ownership.
In addition to the tops currently on the vehicle, it will also come with a new bikini top and new full soft top as the currently used both have a 1-2 inch tear that came from the mounting hardware on the sound system.

Now for the question everyone wants to know, what does it need???The dash cluster speedometer, odometer and fuel gauges do not work. (aftermarket oil pressure and temp gauges are installed and working), as can be seen in photos, it still needs shift rod boots installed and does have a minor cosmetic blemish on the fender well seam and along the edge. Both are minor but do exist.
It will be a great weekend joy rider/daily driver for someone who would enjoy owning Toyota's best selling product in the US between 1961 and 1965 and appreciates ownership of a rare model built at at time when less than 50,000 total units had been placed into production across the globe.
