Up for your consideration is on of the most rare Land Cruiser models ever produced. This is a very special 1981 (eBay doesn't allow the VIN with model year 1981 because it is imported) Japanese Market Land Cruiser hardtop 4×4 powered by a 3.2L diesel inline-four mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The truck is finished in white over striped cloth upholstery and I have owned it for 8 months or so during which it has been driven approximately 700 miles. Maintenance during this time included an oil change, transmission and differential fluid checks, and fuel injector rebuild (4 injectors) . This BJ44 is offered with a clean Utah title in my name. I believe this beautiful land cruiser was repainted by the last owner and is in overall great shape with some blemishes here and there. Noted imperfections include cracks along the seam that connects the upper and lower body on the driver's side, rear doors, and front passenger fender as well as in the plastic backing of the left side mirror. White-painted 15″ luxury-package wheels are mounted with Bridgestone tires. The fog lights and winch are not currently working.
Metric instrumentation includes a 4,500 rpm tachometer, 125 kph speedometer, and 6-digit odometer showing118,700 kilometers (roughly ~73,800k miles), about 2,500 km of which were added by the since I have owned it.The radio is not currently working.
This exquisitelyrare BJ44 Land Cruiser is in great condition overall and runs well (I currently daily drive it), that being said it does leak a little and smoke a bit (as every other older Land Cruiser diesel I have seen does) however it is an exceptional vehicle that will be certain to make any Land Cruiser enthusiast happy.
