Description of 1979 Toyota Pickup Chinook Pop Top Camper

Truly an exceptional vehicle. Solid axle 4x4 with old man emu (ARB) suspensión and lift in excellent condition. Handles well. I've owned it for 2 years. Always driven carefully. Never planned to sell. Selling now due to an international move. Recently built out the interior. Kitchen countertop has a built in Dometic (Italian made/marine grade) sink / propane stove combo unit, glass lid with air hinge), with stock 12V faucet (not hooked up). Teak trim around counter top. The countertop lifts up and is supported by an air hinge (a second hinge not yet installed is included). Room below for storage. A 1 gallon propane tank in exterior camper body storage is included. The bed slides out to comfortably sleep two people. The center bed section rests on two solid supports (see interior photo.) Room under the right passenger side of bed for storage. Fits a 6' surfboard. Either side of rear camper entrance has storage for 3 milk crates (6 crates total). 2 Secret compartments below in the floor under each bottom crate. Two spaces behind each of the front seats for dining, floor post base for table. The base to attach (included) to table of your choice will make this a perfect dining space. Under the drivers side dining seat is another storage place several cubic feet in size, with a lid that lifts up which you can sit on. All woodwork was done by a boat building friend. All done to marine standards, properly routed and wood glued etc, to make it all as lightweight as possible. The only thing that I would do would be to replace the wood on the interior walls. I just painted the floor with high quality porch paint.

The dash board is new, as are the interior metal door panels. The front seats are in excellent condition.

The engine has less than 2000 miles since being rebuilt. At which time we also had a new clutch put in. We just replaced the clutch master cylinder. It has a new inline fuel filter and fuel pressure gauge. The Weber carburetor is in excellent condition. It has an adapter to use a Chevy alternator. It has a high performance distributor (D.U.I. Davis Unified Ingnition) and spark plug wires (Live Wires) which help with fuel efficiency. Burns little to no oil. 15" rims, low miles on tires.

Serious inquires only. Priced to sell. Will post a video of engine running to youtube asap.
