Description of 1986 Toyota MR2 Leather

Hello,

I am putting up my 1986 Toyota MR2 up for sale. I have owned the MR2 since 1996 and it was my first vehicle ever own. In that time, the MR2 has always been garaged and since 2001 has been a secondary vehicle, rarely driven. The car would typically have less than 3,000 miles driven on it per year and only driven in sunny, ideal conditions. Technically I am the third owner of this vehicle, but it was previously owned by my father before passing it down to me. The MR2 has been meticulously maintained and for most of its life, lived in sunny, dry environments. No rust on this car at all!! This MR2 is a true classic as it is the only one in all my years of owning it that has an original full leather interior. Do your homework on this fact as you will find more supercharged models that were limited produced for two years (88 & 89) then you will find MR2’s with a leather interior. That says something about this MR2’s rarity.

Unfortunately, my MR2 was in a fender bender and the insurance company wanted to wreck the car. It has a restored salvage title because the only thing that needed to be fixed was the fender. I was not going to let the insurance company take my car just because of a busted up fender. So, now the title has this blemish on it.

Reason for selling:

I am selling the MR2 because I have simply not had the time to drive it or take care of any of the restoration projects needed to be done on the car. The MR2 has sat in my garage for over a year now and I have made the decision to let a new owner with the same level of love and passion for the car that I have, take ownership of it and perform the small number for restoration projects on it. Please understand, while the MR2 is in great condition, it is 33 years old and time has taken its toll on some items of the car.

I have detailed as much as I can about the car. But if there is anything specific that you want to know that is not detailed here, please do not hesitate to contact me. **CarFax Report Available Upon Request**
