----------Engine/Drivetrain(9/10):
Engine runs great, transmission shifts smoothly. Overall the truck starts, drives and stops exceptionally well. Last time I checked, the brakes had some life left to them but now they could probably use a service. This trucks major components are all stock.
In the last couple years I have owned it, it has had a top end rebuild.
New head gasket kit.
New timing chain cover.
New water pump and oil pump.
New timing chain kit with upgraded metal guides.
New radiator.
New master cylinder.
New fuel pump.
The A/C is all there but I have never put a belt on to see if it works as it is not needed here along the coast.
----------Interior(8/10):
-The interior is presentable and comfortable but very used.
-The dash has a couple cracks in it but has a new dash pad on there. Headliner is near perfect and door panels are okay.
-Nice set of bucket style seats.
-All gauges, electronics and windows function as they should.
-Nice stereo w/ speakers.
-All glass is uncracked.
-New windshield.
----------Body(9/10):
-Body is mostly straight and rust free. Has plenty of small dents throughout but overall the truck is very presentable.
-Newer paint job.
-Newer herculiner bedliner.
-Doors, tailgate and hood open and close perfectly.
-Nice beefy aftermarket front and rear bumper, could mount a winch.
-Nice set of aluminum rims.
Overall the truck is very presentable and reliable. It is a blank canvas for someone to make into the perfect commuter or rock crawler or work truck or .........etc.
This generation of Toyota is a very desirable truck, especially with the fuel injection and 5 speed. There has been a lot of money and time thrown at it and will make an excellent vehicle for the next owner. It has about 218,xxx miles on it which is nothing for these legendary 22re's. All the major maintenance has been done and now it is ready to enjoy.
