Up for genuine auction is my 1981 Toyota FJ40 Colombian import. Though as I understand it all FJ40’s in North & South America were made in Brazil - please correct me if I’m wrong! The VIN is FJ40344092 which as found in the production photo graph above states my model was manufactured in July/August 1981. I live part time in Colombia, UK & Florida and I personally bought this FJ40 in Pereira, Colombia and exported to Miami. Lack of use is reason for sale so grab a bargain! Clean Florida title in my name. I spent $3500 (Spring 2022) in St Pete FL, on engine service,all new brakes, carb, 4 tyres, speedo cable etc etc. Runs great - I driveit locally in St Pete regularly - cosmetically not perfect, it has a new tuband various new panels, but I wanted an unrestored fairly originalexample - hence the low price for this model - probably the lowestpriced FJ40 in this very presentable condition.This model has the removable hard top and fold down windshield.Original 4.2L In-Line 6 Cylinder 2F engine with the original 4 speedgearbox. 4WD ***Additional photos and a video now uploaded!*** I have uploaded 4 new photos, 3 showing new body panels - as mentioned all four wheel arches are as new and the rear floor is as new too - the last photo is a bad patch of paintwork blistering near one of the hood hinges, it is only surface and directly under the hood beneath the blistering is absolutely solid. Just to put a few answers to peoples questions, there is no A/C, no heating, no radio, no power steering (its a small vehicle so its never worried me), the turn signals were working in the spring when I had the local garage go over everything but now are working intermittently, and the handbrake cable could do with adjusting or replacing at a cost of $50! The title is a clean Florida title and is fully insured with Hagerty for $30 a month, so easy and cheap to insure. This is an amazing FJ40 ready to drive as is or tinker as you go, or go to town with a full resto!
