The car drives like its on rails! Very solid, tight and responsive - all suspension parts updated and it shows. The highly detailed engine is powerful for this size car and with the upgrades of the Weber carburetor & intake plus the header and electronic ignition it is a joy to drive! Shifting is smooth and pleasant. The sound from the free flowing exhaust is as it should be -Noticeablebut not overly loud! The beautifulburgundy color is perfect for this era Spitfire. It was professionally done on a body that was virtually rust free. Gloss and shine are still super! Bumpers look new and have a great chrome finish. The vintage style of the split rear bumper is hard to miss. Frame is solid. The new wider Mini-Lite style wheels and new performance tires really set the car off as well as help in the handling. The past owner has an in depth portfolio of allreceiptson the parts and updates he had completed. It will be included with the car.
Although not a concourse Spitfire is is head and shoulders above most that are being offered for sale and always gets looks & thumbs up when driven. It has always been garaged and pampered by all previous owners. This is one you can get in and enjoy anytime you want with just a turn ofthekey! All that has been needed to the car has already been completed. All seals are tight with hardly a drip. The top has a bit of age but is still presentable and usable if needed but it is generally kept down to enjoy the car as it was intended - a convertible! Sorry, no spare tire or jack are included.
Please review the many pics I have listed to show the condition of this fabulous sports car. If you need additional pics of something or further information just ask. I will be happy answer all questions and to furnish any requested pics. I have dealt with older British sports cars for years and this 1969 is as nice as they come, cosmetically and mechanically, for the fair reserve price I am asking. Please note as with any older classic car it is being sold "As Is - As Best Described To The Best Of My Ability With No Warranty". It is the buyers responsibility to arrange pick up or transportation. The Winning bidder is required to make an immediate deposit payment of $500.00 at the end of the auction into my PayPal account with full payment required within 7 days of the auction close by either Cash, Bank Cashiers Check or Bank Wire Transfer into my bank account. I can work with you on the timing of the pick up. Thanks for looking!
