Description of 1965 Triumph Other TR4A Roadster

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this early TR4A IRS for restoration. This car was purchased from the dry state of New Mexico. It is a very decent project car with the desirable independent rear suspension and a relatively straight body. This car has some isolated rust spots from exposure to the outside weather, but once the main floors and outer rockers (sills) have been replaced (a fairly straightforward task with replacement panels) it would be a very nice and solid, straight and rustfree bodyshell. The trunk floor is solid, so are the bottoms of the front and rear fenders. The front and rear valances look very nice and straight. Trunk and hood fit is excellent, and both panels are in good shape. The car's frame is extremely nice, straight, and solid with no rust-through anywhere. The inner rockers look great. The trailing arm pick up points, which are vulnerable on IRS Triumphs, look perfect on this car.The car's VIN plate, body tag, and engine number are all sequenced together indicating a matching numbers car. The engine is currently stuck from sitting, but appears very original and complete with all of it's original equipment. The engine compartment looks very nice and straight with perfect fender bowls. Some items have been carefully removed for restoration and saved in the boxes pictured. The radiator and fuel tank look very serviceable.Noted items missing would be a soft top frame, windshield glass, passenger door glass, and front marker light housings. All of the soft trim would be purchased and renewed anyways. There's an extra set of better seat tracks along with the original seats. The dashboard and center console retain all of the original gauges and switchgear, along with an original Triumph radio. The rare 4A grille looks very nice except for one repairable dent.Overall, a very restorable early TR4A IRS Convertible in good original colors with matching numbers.
