Description of 1964 Triumph TR4 TR4 Roadster

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very complete TR-4 for restoration. This car was just purchased from the owner of approximately the last 10 years who had plans to restore it. This car retains the "O" suffix in it's VIN number indicating that is was a car factory fitted with the desirable overdrive gearbox and also wire wheels, a very nice combination. This car runs and drives well, has a healthy engine and gearbox with a quiet rear axle. The body on this this is average with typical dings, dents, some rust running along the rear fender tips. This area has had some amateur repairs made with fiberglass during the last old red paint job. The panel gaps are variable but reasonable. The wheelarchs look pretty decent, always a vulnerable spot on these cars. The rear valance is near perfect, the front one is a little banged up. The trunk floor is very good, and from underneath the car the main floors look actually pretty decent. The car would need some repairs to the inner and outer rockers along with some fender repair. There some rust through showing on the outer rockers as well as the on front of the rear fenders.Underneath, the chassis looks great: very nice, straight and solid covered with years of built up grease and oils protecting it ! There appears to be no rust though or damage. The engine currently runs very well with good power and great oil pressure, nice exhaust note (see video). The front belt pulley on the crankshaft needs the rear portion replacing, as it was cracked and broke a part off. The generator needs to be hooked up. The car has been driven on the road a few test miles, and shifts, brakes and stops, steers and handles OK. There is some clutch judder upon release, most likely due to lack of use, and could smooth out with some miles put on the car. The engine number is very closely sequenced with the original VIN and body tag, a good indication that it's a matching numbers car. The car's interior is complete with it's original items, but tired with faded carpets, some old original trim in the rear, older seats redone in vinyl, aging wood dashboard, cracking original top pad. The soft top has shrunk up a bit and the plastic windows have yellowed. There appears to be a new brake and clutch master cylinder fitted. Overall, a fairly complete and original TR-4 for improvement. One could use this car as a driver, until it's time to restore or improve. Either way, it's a rare factory overdrive car with wire wheels in nice original colors. As of late, these highly attractive Michelotti-styled 60's Triumph are gaining plenty of interest and this one is modestly priced.Video link of the car running below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww2oUTqpr1I&t=4s
