Description of 1957 Triumph TR3 Roadster

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this fairly complete and straight TR3A for restoration. This car was recently purchased from the state of Colorado where the owner had plans to eventually restore it. It appears the car left the factory in the attractive color scheme of white with red trim, a nice combination for these cars. The body on this car is decently straight with no noted accident damage. There are some soft dents on the front shroud and a small push-in on the RH front fender. This car needs some typical rust repair including new floors, outer rockers, inner rocker repairs, front fender bottoms. The trunk floor looks very solid with some minor repairable rust through around the wheel arch area. The car's chassis frame looks very straight and solid, but would need the front crossmember repaired/replaced. The underside is scaly with surface rust and would definitely look good with a sandblast. The car's interior trim looks fairly complete with the correct seats, 1 gauge missing, correct steering wheel and trafficator. The engine in the car turns OK and could run with a bit of work. It is sequenced closely to the early TR3A VIN number and body tag number, only about 1200 cars from the start of wide mouth production. A big bonus to this car is the addition of a pair very rare Alfin rear aluminum brake drums and also a (Alfin ?) finned aluminum sump (oil pan), something I've never seen before in period on any Triumph...The car looks to be mechanically complete.Overall, a decent start to a TR3A restoration project with some period Alfin additions, early serial number, and pleasing original color scheme. This car is modestly priced for a complete sidescreen Triumph sports car.
