Beautiful 1975 Triumph TR-6 Convertible You are bidding on a beautiful 1975 Triumph TR6 that I have been a proud owner for the last 15 years. I am selling my toy only because of my health. The Triumph was born 17 March 1975 and originally sold by the British Leyland Motor Inc, New Orleans, USA. When I bought the car in 2003 the previous owner had the car's body professionally repaired and painted in Dodge Viper metallic blue with a clear coat which looks very close to the original Delft blue that the car was painted at the factory. Because of the color of the car, I have never shown it in the Concours class but it sure shows very well in the participants class winning many best in late model TR6. The shows I am most proud of is the four Vintage Triumph National Convention Shows that it was in. 2007 Triumphs Forge Ahead at Delaware Valley PASecond Place, Participants' Choice Late TR62008 North American Triumph Challenge, Detroit MichiganFirst Place, Participants' Choice Late TR62011 VTR National Convention at Triumphs in the Rockies at Breckenridge Colorado First Place, Participants' Choice Late TR62014 VTR National Convention at Dobson, North Carolina First Place, Participants' Choice Late TR6 The car body is nice and straight, with no evidence of filler. The doors shut with a nice ‘clunk’ and the gaps are really excellent for the age of this TR6. The floor and panel work is very solid and I’m sure it will last for years to come without any major issues. Door and wings are in excellent condition. The paint finish is very good (clearly professional, with all trim and windscreen removed), and has an excellent shine with a few chips from normal driving. Enhancements include the custom-made solid walnut dash and door tops. The seats are from a 1996 Mazda Miata with Pioneer speakers in the headrest with Italian Leather Miata Seat Upholstery, black with silver inserts.This is an AMAZING Triumph that combines classic British style with high-performance components.
