Description of 1968 Triumph TR3

HERE WE GO AND FOR THE LAST TIME! RELISTED WITH NO RESERVE AND SUPER LOW START PRICE. Ebay winning buyer was in Canada; had not bothered to check on shipping costs, import duties to his country (or used it as an excuse but we agreed to let him cancel. Hey, it is a hobby and about making friends!). SO HERE IT IS AND GRAB IT OR ITS GOING TO BE PARTED OUT AS THE WIRE WHEELS, LEATHER SEATS, FRESH ENGINE, RARE WINDSHIELD AND REAR WINDOW (Corvette and Porsche) ETC. ARE PROBABLY WORTH MORE THAN THE ASKING PRICE. This is a STEAL and tons of fun and more thumbs up than any thing ten times the cost.-- This amazing automobile has been a pet project of mine for over 10 years but it's time to let someone else enjoy the history and uniqueness of this wonderful and fun car which has turned more heads than almost anything I have ever owned. For those who want to have something beautiful and rare in the garage, Fiberfab is still the answer and the Jamaican is the most beautiful body shape they ever created. The simplicity of the Triumph TR3 mechanicals makes it fun and practical to own. This car has been completely mechanically restored with a rebuilt engine by a specialist shop, all new hydraulics, clutch, brakes, cooling, as well as a gorgeous paint job and beautiful Dunlop wire wheels with Michelein radials. There are so few of the Fiberfab Jamaicans on the road due to the fact that the shape required costly and hard to source parts like a 1966 Corvette windshield, and a Porsche 911 rear window both of which have been professionally fitted to this car with the correct chrome trim. The side windows are VW Karmen Ghia and still need fitting with all new hardware and glass included with the car. We used the original TR3 seats with all new foam and high grade genuine leather in black with red piping. The project was bought 11 years ago on a TR-6 chassis from 1971 which was never designed for the Jamaican and the builder gave up trying with the body in like new condition, never painted, and sitting loosely on the 71 TR6 from a wrecked car, with no engine. We sourced all the build manuals and decided a TR-3 was the best way to go and used a complete rust free TR-3 which was stripped bare and rebuilt completely. There are a few other small tasks to do as you enjoy the car, including rewiring the front headlamps, choosing door panels and hardware, and aligning the front bonnet to fit a bit better which is an easy but somewhat fussy task requiring two people. The car has a clear California title and all the numbers match to the title documents so the car can be registered in any state and is currently registered and licensed in California. The body is the first series Jamaican from 1968 with all dead stock 1960 TR3 mechanicals. Ask all questions but this is a very rare opportunity and if you look up some recent sales these cars have brought big money at auctions. This one has a low start price and is relisted with NO RESERVE ! Factory Fiberfab build manual and TR3 manual included. Note: totally rust free California chassis and lower body were used and beautifully restored prior to assembly. All suspension, hydraulics, steering box, engine etc rebuilt with documentation. Rebuilt correct twin carburetors, new fuel tank, etc. I have owned and enjoyed this car for 11 years and I am a well-known and serious Triumph enthusiast who spared no expense to do the work I've done to a very high standard. The few easy things that are left to do will make the car truly the new owners personal expression as well.
