Description of 1960 Triumph TR3 Great Condition

THE BASICS:

Here we have a very nice honest and rust-free Triumph TR3a roadster. We have known, serviced, and maintained this vehicle for over 25+ years. This little British car runs and drives as it should. It is a great little sportscar for that Sunday cruise or sporty country road jaunt. It is very reliable, as I have been driving it daily during good weather for the last few months.Take it to a "cars & coffee" meet or a local car show and it is sure to garner loads of attention. It might even win a prize! We have just fully serviced it and performed a few updates in our shop - see photo of repair order totaling over $16k in recent parts & labor. Prior to that, within the last 2500 miles, the twin SU carburetors were rebuilt and a gear reduction starter motor was installed. Many new parts, including new chrome tubeless wire wheels & tires, all new complete brake & clutch overhaul, stainless exhaust system, and much more. Car includes weather gear: convertible top, a brand new Toneau cover in the box, and a set of old side curtains in need of restoration. This is a nice survivor that is not missing anything, or been abused and butchered in any way. What you see is what you get.

RUNNING & DRIVING:

The peppy 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Turn the key and hit the starter button, and the car starts right up and runs beautifully. The engine sounds like it should and pulls effortlessly and shifts smoothly thru all the gears. With the addition of dynamat sound deadening under the new front carpets, in the doors, trunk, and bonnet, this Triumph is without the common squeaks, rattles, and noises. It is a real joy to drive! The oil psi stays steady on the hottest of days around 50psi, and jumps to around 75psi when accelerating briskly.

THE BODY & EXTERIOR:

This is an older quality restoration that has aged well. The paint and body look good and are very presentable. The body does have a few dings/dents/scratches/touchups as is very common on a car of this age. There is no frame or body rust visible - this is just a nice solid car. Feel free to call me and we can go over the car in more depth, panel by panel if you want to get more details, photos, or videos. All exterior lights work as they should, including the turn signals.

THE INTERIOR:

Very clean, presentable and comfortable. All gauges are working as they should. With the addition of LED bulbs, the gauges are well lit at night. The windshield wipers are working. It has new chrome washer jets installed, but they are not hooked up. There is a rare smith's heater installed and working. The steering wheel mounted turn signals and horn are working. The "fly-away" handbrake works as it should.

PAPERWORK:

This Triumph comes with a clear NJ Title in the sellers name. Also included is a stack of paperwork starting in 1979 to present day for work performed on this car. There are also a few polaroid photos from when the car was repainted in 1979.

KNOWN FLAWS:

MIsc. dings/dents/scratches/paint chips/paint touch-up. Nothing too unsightly or ugly. Its a good looking car with a lot of charm and character. Not a show or trailer queen. This car can be driven anywhere.

It is impossible for me to go over everything in the write-up, so feel free to contact me via phone or text at 908-268-8108 to discuss this TR3 in greater detail, or to request additional photos, or videos. Please come and view the car in person, take a test drive, you wont be disappointed. Thank you for your interest in our vehicle and check us out at jagshop.com
