Description of 1968 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

I am selling my 1968 VW Karmann Ghia Coupe and 1969 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible.
I will try and explain the good and the bad with both vehicles. I am selling them together and both have clean and clear Missouri titles in hand.
The coupe was bought as a running project car that I hoped to complete for my wife. It has new floorpans installed, ody work, nbsp;EMPI wheels and new tires, hocks, indows and seals, arpeting and many new parts. It was running and I started to tear it down to fix some of the problems that the previous owner created. They painted the entire car and when I say the entire car I mean it. The wiring harness and any other parts were not taped off and therefore the electrical wiring needs to be redone. The seats are not the originals and I have no idea what they are out of. THis little coupe would not take much to complete. The engine runs smooth and the manual transaxle shifts smoothly and not pop out of gear even when backing up an incline.
The convertible was bought with the intention of swapping it onto the coupes pan. It has not been on the road since 1978. It is complete and unmolested!! The wiring is all original and uncut. It needs floorpans but all the heater channels are solid. It has been hit in the nose but has been repaired, older repair). The transaxle is an autostick and I don't know the condition of it. The motor is locked up. I have the original front seats. The previous owner threw the rear seat away. I also have the convertible frame and several new parts for it.
These cars come with both sets of bumpers, wo spare engine lids, pare glass, ew side molding and spare carpeting.
I have set the reserve low so bid accordingly. I am not interested inseparatingthem or parting them out. Shipping is the responsibility of the winner bidder. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of the auctions end with the balance due within seven days of the auctions end. Vehicles will not be released until transaction clears my bank.
