1979 Volkswagen Baywindow WESTFALIA CAMPERVAN - FULL CABINETRY (RARE) This is a great example of the classic desirable Baywindow style that still has all the cabinetry intact. Very rare to find a bay window with all the cabinetry - look around hard to come by. Driveline Motor is the Aircooled pancake, tarts right up every time Idles good no smoke Engine has the normal VW oil leaks but either it has leaks or it is empty Transmission shifts well, ice and easy through all the gears Clutch grabs good with no problems Clutch slave or the line leading to it has a small leak so just need to keep an eye on it. Brand new battery with 2 year warranty Interior All of the original plaid interior is in very good condition with only rips on the drivers front seat The passenger seat, ack seat, ehind the back seat, pper sleeping quarters are in fantastic shape for the age Complete cabinetry is all in tact. Some of the laminate wood grain is peeling here and there but likely can be re-attachd Cabinetry has all components including: Sink Stove - Propane Ice box Heater Outlet w/breaker Battery gauge Curtain Rod for hanging clothes Mirror door Rear Storage Bench seat table with swing out extension and mounting bar Propane tank on bottom of sliding door Dash mounted fan (operational) * I haven't personally used the camping equipment listed above so not sure if all is operational. All curtains have different material that is old and needs replacing but all the clips, naps, racks etc are in place. Roof pops nice and easy and allows for sleeping of 2 additional people up top. Canvas is a bit older but overall in good condition - may have small split but nothing too major Canvas also has a screen in the front to get circulation when camping. Body Overall the body is very good for its age and comparing it to most of whats out there. Bottom of the body has only slight visible rust Bottom of doors have some rust and previous repairs see pictures Drivers door appears to have bumped a yellow painted bollard at a gas station which put a dent on the front part of the door a bit and shows its slight yellow scrape battle wound Battery tray is solid - normally these rust out Few spots on main floor where you get in and out (see pics) Rocker area is clean with little to no rust Fender wells are clean with little to no rust Behind passenger side of front bumper has some rust coming out Little bit of rust coming out just below the front window Little bit of rust along drip but overall the drip rails are solid Bottom of front floors are very solid. Few small holes on passenger front floor but not bad at all (see pics) Please call with questions, ave no problem showing the bus to interested parties.
