Description of 1974 Volkswagen Thing

This car is the cruisers dream... The person that doesn't mind getting stopped at the gas station by every passerby to chat about "The time they...". Just cruising... top down, ind in your hair, istening to the gentle rumble of theair-cooled engine, nd waving to all the kiddos in the minivans smiling and giggling at your awesomelyunique ride. I wish I had more time to love this one because she has been so good to me over the years. She was my daily driver, ow we get together every few weekends to unwind and just chill. I keep her covered in the garage, tart her up and let her run every weekend to keep her happy. I hope you'll get out and give her the time in the sun she deserves.
  • 1600 aircooled, ecently tuned, ebuilt 30pic carb (extra carb included), ll new fuel lines.
  • Trans shifts smooth and the brakes stop quick.
  • New battery, tarter, nd ignition switch.
  • New window inserts and protective sleeves.
  • Top is solid but back vinyl window is discolored with a small crack.
  • Porsche cookie cutter rims wrapped in smart-car tires, ith maybe 5k miles.

She does sit low and you can feel it if you're driving too fast overspeed bumps. She does have some rusty spots around the windshield frame and bottom corners by the back fenders, ther dents and dings should all be visible in the photos(driver side front fender has wrinkles and driver side air intake has a dent/scuff). She is super solid otherwise, ny other rust is only surface. All the Thing owners from the local clubs marvel at how solid she is. Only part missing is the bottom seat cushion for the back seat, ut I never put anyone in the back so I never cared.
Shipping cost and coordination is buyer's responsibility. I'll help them get it on the truck.
She just passed the Texas safety inspection back in April.
I have a clear title in my name.
