Description of 1957 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Up for sale is my 1957 VW Beetle that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. It has a 1641cc engine with dual kadron carbs and a doghouse fan shroud with no heater outlets. I bought it not running and it had been sitting for a while. discovered it was the carbs, cleaned and rebuilt them with kaddie shack kits and it runs great now. other than the rebuild all ive done is given it a fresh oil change and strainer. previous owner stated motor has less than 20k on a rebuild, nd it does feel strong. trans works as it should and is strong. this is a PROJECT. it requires a lot of work. only interior it has is old wore out carpet, eats are in terrible shape but they are all there and they can be re upholstered. whoever painted it last did not do a good job, aint is peeling on the drivers side and various other places on the car. only good thing about it is it seems like they took the last paint down to metal so it should be very easy to get it all off, nd luckily the paint did stop any rust from happening. this bug is very solid. the only known rust is under the battery tray, nd in the front drivers side wheel well (see picture). heater channels are good. all integral parts of the car are good. only a few small sheet metal spots that need to be patched. drivers side window is not installed but I do have the window. it is missing the window regulator. previous owner had it taped in place... doors open and close very nicely. head lights work, ail lights do not seem to work. brake lights work but for some reason stay on for a few minutes after pressing the brake pedal... brakes are fine but could use a bleeding, ometimes the car will pull to either side if you brake hard. all chrome trim pieces have been bondoedsmooth, s well as bumper holes. I was going to drill out all the holes when i strip the paint and bring it back to stock. Car has decklid standoffs on it. key is broke off in the ignition, he end piece of it. back part of key can still be removed and it still works the way it is. I am a firm believer inhaving a running/driving project, o build a "relationship" with and bond with before you go tearing it apart. that's what ive been doing with this car, ut found out last week my wife is pregnant... I don't necessarily need to sell the bug but it would definitely help. if I cant get a decent price for it the tear down process will begin this winter. ive dreamed about owning an oval since I was a kid but unfortunately it just seems like bad timing.
Chassis and body are matching numbers.
I will included a tow bar with the car.
Please call or text me and ask for ANY pictures you would like. Again i just purchased this car so i know very little about it, ther than what the previous owner has told me and what ive seen. my number is 605-381-5271. Thanks, nd i will be updating this ad with any additional info i can think of/learn about.
