The Volkswagen Karmann Ghiawas a sports car marketedas a 2+2 convertible starting in 1958.The car was styledby Luigi Segre of the Italian carrozzeria Ghia in Turin Italy and hand-built voluptuous bodywork by the German coach-builder Karmannfor the Volkswagen company. American industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague included the Karmann Ghia in his list of the world's most beautifully designed products.The convertiblesproduced from 1962 and 1969 where roughly 5,000 a year, aking these few survivorsa rare collectible.
The end result was a low-slung 2+2 with great style and pizzazz.
