'91 Corrado G60 Highlights:
- Title: Clean, prior owners not including me
- Mileage: Approximately 110k
- 1.8L PG Block, -Valve Supercharged engine. The supercharger for this car is often referred to as the G-lader due to its internal shape. It is creating some boost but will need to be rebuilt.
- The car has original 15" BBS wheels. They are gloss black wheels, mported directly from Germany. I have 4 center caps to go with them.
- "Red dot" interior. This vehicle has a nice interior and needs very little work.
- Aftermarket stereo and speakers
- Hood has installed hood pins
- New knock sensor, iming belt and covers, rake fluid reservoir cap and many other new parts
- Touch-button start
- Working speed sensing spoiler
- Sunroof (may be working- currently disconnected)
History of my ownership experience:
I purchased this car from a seller that was located in Las Vegas and the car was shipped to me in Florida. When I first received the car, he timing was not set properly and that has been corrected. I was told by the seller that the supercharger is in working condition and needs to be rebuilt with new apex seals. I have not taken the supercharger apart so it is possible that it could be rebuilt but I would factor that it may need extensive repair work to be fully functional. The wiring harness wiring under the hood has been tapped into in order to run wiring for a push button start system and battery bypass switch. The modified starting system makes a wonderful security feature but you may wish to sort out the wiring to make the ignition the primary starting method. As you will see in the engine bay photos I have posted, ou may want to clean up the wiring a bit as well. The serpentine belt will need to be replaced and some additional sensors may need to be changed if you decide to re-do all of the wiring and make this a daily driver. The vehicle could use new lugs all around to truly make the original BBS wheels stand out well. The seatbelts on the car are automatic but are currently disconnected from the door jam area but are functional. I have added hood pins for easier access to the engine bay due to the typical issue with the hood cable release on Corrados. There are some factors and aftermarket options for hood release or you may wish to change out the hood pins for a different style.
Why the sale?:
My life situation has changed and I simply have other priorities since my purchase of the G60. The car is in running and driving condition and will make a great project for someone willing to invest the time into it. For a VW or Corrado enthusiast- this is the perfect car. I have some extra parts like the wheel center caps, n extra fender and any other switches, uses and replacement parts I can find around the garage for this very special car. As any enthusiast knows, t is a smart idea to keep extra parts around and I have collected some as I find them from local sellers, ellers on eBay, W forums, tc. The car may be inspected if you would like but this will need to be worked around my availability.
