Description of 1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Up for sale is a 1970 VW Beetle. It's all original minus the motor. I was told it was from a 67. I haven't had the car long. I have had it running and driven it around. It has a rattle in the motor. The mechanic I talked to told me it needs the valves adjusted. It comes with some extra parts. It has some parts that go with. I have a duel carburator setup with intakes and linkage. an extra clutch. and an extra distributor. It's a very clean little car. It was originally a pale white. It has been repainted orange. The interior is two toned red and white. There is no rust on the floor pans. Windows go up and down fine. It starts up no problem. Idles smooth when it's warm. Has all 5 original wheels. All the lights work. Wiring is all in good shape. After market electric fuel pump. Needs tires. It has tires that are from the 80's. They hold air but need to be changed. If you win the car you will have to arrange for it to be picked up from my house. Everything needs to be fixed before it can be made into a daily driver. I haven't driven it more than 20 miles at one time. The rattle is only at higher R. P. M. 's at idle and low rev it's nice and quiet. It has new shocks in the front. Rides as good as a beetle does. The car is completely as is. I am not a mechanic and offer no warrantee. More pictures are available upon request. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck and happy biddingOn Dec-28-14 at 09:42:57 PST. seller added the following information:I have been asked a few questions just wanted to address them. First I was asked for interior pictures which I have uploaded. Also I was asked about rust. It does have a little rust between the running boards and the body. I posted pictures of that as well. I do want to make clear that this car will need engine work before it can be driven daily. The rattle in the engine could be anything I don't know enough about the car to say what it is. It could be the lifters it could be the bottom end. The mechanic I talked to told me if it's only at higher rpm it's probly the valve train. I don't want anyone to buy the car thinking they are gonna put tires on the car and drive it every day. It needs work. It's very clean for its age and would be a great project for someone with the time for it. Thank you and happy bidding. If you have any questions feel free to ask I'll be glad to answer them for you.
