Description of 1966 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Fun to drive 1966 VW Cali customSignal green was a Porsche color in '90 or '91Paint has faded a bit in the Texas nuclear summersPrevious owner did all work and I have a file with most of the receipts from 2010-11I just replaced the distributor with a Flame ThrowerIt has a security alarm and keyless entry that I disabledUnder the dash Sony CDX-GT630 stereo with 4 speakers and a sub (It's not a thumper)I have a Club for the steering wheel for you as well as the VW Haynes Repair Manual and the classic "How To Keep Your VW Alive"Has a spare under the hood with original hub cap and a nice vintage intact gas cap Current inspection and registration stickers'67 front end headlights and fenders. turn signals under the front bumperHorn is under the dashPans are in great shape Vintage Dellorto carburetor Fresh plugs and fuel filterEmpi four wheel disc brakes and Empi exhaustJegs electric fuel pump (switch is in glove box)I'm not a mechanic I am a driver and lover of all things vintage especially my wife ! Ha! First gear will pull out a tree stump and third gear is impressive. Daily dependable driverShe runs cold which is great for TexasJust give her some gas before starting and warm'er up for a bitAftermarket roof rack and bamboo under dash rackI even have a vintage sun visor make up mirror for the lady passengerFour old school VW seat beltsShe was a showgirl in her younger days. see Bavarian girls pictureTried to cover everything but if I left anything out it's minorSorry but I do not the know the engine displacementOn Dec-07-14 at 18:29:06 PST. seller added the following information: Hi! I've had the pleasure of her company for almost one and a half years. Daily driver to work and joy rides. I don't now how to answer the degree of fading but if you look at the inside paint vs the ouside I'd say It varies. The sides slightly and the hood slightlier? There are some chips in the paint from gravel I guess. All the pics in the sun are from Saturday. The cloudy day pic is about 6 months and as I mentioned the Bavarian Beer Girls pic. which I found on Google images is more like 3-4 years. The farthest I've driven is about 30 miles no prob. From Austin to Birmingham is like two Germanys. It is winter and if you average 58-61 mph and have a small bladder I see no reason it wouldn't make it Chad. However I would recommend a flat bed trailer. OK it's California bug so the side window vents a gone so when it's cold the windows are a bit hard to roll up. Looks like someone unskilled tried to pop the lock. see pics included. There is no heater because you don't need one in California. A bit of rust on the chrome headlights. The front bumper is slightly higher on one side. easy fix. On Dec-07-14 at 20:52:06 PST. seller added the following information:
