Description of 1987 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia

Your are looking at a beautiful and very collectible Volkswagen Westfalia camper van that has $6400 in new parts and is a pleasure to drive.
The 1986-91 Westfalia's are sought after by collectors and considered the best years of the bunch for their larger redesigned 2.1L "waterboxer" engines, hich featured improved cooling, xhaust and ignition - adding more power, long with redesigned brakes and interior upgrades to name just a few of the many changes VW implemented.
FEATURES OF THE WESTY:

We have a clean Florida title in hand and this van has a clean CARFAX report.
Comfortable captains chairs with armrests up front that swivel to the back for camping
16" Mercedes aluminum wheels that greatly increase the ride and handling plus all new shocks on every wheel.
Factory air conditioning that has been completely redone and blows cold from rear vents in back.
New Blaupunkt Cupertino CD/MP3 receiver with remote control & new Kicker speakers in front doors (Receiver is wired to auxiliary battery so you can use while camping and with remote control this is a nice combination).
Kitchen is complete with upgraded refrigerator fan kit - now nice and cool (runs off electric, e don't run off gas), ew GoWesty utility hookup boxes on the exterior, ew upgraded faucet, ump, upply hoses & drain assemblies, ropane tank has been repainted to protect from rust and gas stove works great - giving you an upgraded and fully functional kitchen.
Interior features fold out table, pecial metal step (featured in last pictures with accessories) gives you step for access to loft mattress, ear seat folds backward into a mattress - giving you a lower mattress and loft mattress up to, o you can comfortably sleep 4 people.
Engine has many new parts, tarts up and runs great; previous owner claimed it had been rebuilt but we don't have any receipts to confirm that; the head gaskets do appear to have been replaced though from their material, hey are newer; we have tested compression and its great on all cylinders, lenty of power.

This van is in very good condition, aving thousands in new parts; however, s mentioned in the condition description. We have only driven it around 50 miles since purchasing, t runs fantastic, an cruise at 70mph on the freeway (got it up to 80mph, ut thats pushing it!) - but we simply have not driven it far enough to say either way how reliable it would be on a cross country trip home or any long journey; again, his is an almost 30 year old VW and anything can go wrong on a long trip - no warranty implied or expressed, e're selling this great Westy as-is, here is.
No license plates are included - in Florida we keep the license plates; so you can ship the van or bring your own license plates. If you ship the van I have used and can recommend DAS dependable auto shippers; beware of shipping "brokers" who don't actually own trucks! Another option is that our vehicle registration office *may* be able to provide you with temporary plates and registration if you pay fees AND taxes on the sale price of the van - from what they've told me the sales tax *may* be remitted back to your states DMV as a credit if your state has a reciprocity agreement, ut thats just my rough understanding, est to call them for any details on costs or to confirm - Ray Valdes Tax Collector 407-665-1000 - If you fly in to Orlando International Airport I don't mind picking you up and giving you a ride. Overall this Westy is just awesome, ou know right away your in an 1987 when you hop in and feel the padded steering wheel or the power from the 2.1L waterboxer or handling from all new shocks and the Mercedes aluminum wheels - these late model VW's are the best.
