VW Bus Type 2 Deluxe 1969 Classic Vintage Time capsule Beautiful w Z Bed Records

Excellent opportunity to own a rare factory produced 1969 vw bus with the coveted Z-Bed and factory sunroof. Also as a Deluxe model she came with the easily removable factory step/running board.

Amazing service history records and documentation. Original factory owners manual and even includes the original owners plastic VW owners card.

If you have never sat in a vw transporter with the Z-bed you will note that it extends fully to both sides of the bus offering much more room for traveling and for comfortable sleeping when extended. Its like a comfy couch. The inner mechanism is all in excellent condition.

All of the door panels in the bus are factory original, as is the dash and in unbelievable condition for its age. The headliner received a light cleaning only and small repairs where needed. New radio antenna and extension included. Even the original sunvisors with mirror are in excellent condition. Interior door handles, door pulls, and window cranks all original which shows the great original condition. The steering wheel is original and in great condition. Tools original to the bus included and have been treated in durable heat treated finish. The bumpers are original to the bus and were in excellent non damaged condition, even the front rubber bumper rubber step pads are original.

New front door handles with pair of matching keys. All other handles and locks are original to the bus as is the ignition and all keyed with the VW factory keys. New windshield wipers have been installed.

All the glass is excellent and as mentioned the front windshield is brand new. Even the original rubber floor mats in front cabin and cargo area are original material.

This bus has had excellent care its entire life and the books, original purchase cards, vw stamped historical service records and beautiful condition reflect

This is a story for those who long to find a gem. This bus was inside a storage area in Montana for the last 25 plus years of its life just waiting to be brought out into the fresh air and reconditioned.

The body condition of the bus before application of the two stage with clear coat exterior was absolutely excellent. There were no major rust areas, in fact the front floors, main cargo floor area only needed light sanding to remove surface rust as there were no patch areas necessary to fix.

Excellent tires with the proper rating for a vw bus with this equipment. New windshield and rubber seal. New exhaust damper (we left off the outer small muffler tip to allow the bus a nice throaty exhaust sound while zipping around. Brakes have been freshened as well as the clutch. New engine seals, distributor, rotor, points, plugs, wires, fuel lines, original rebuilt Solex carb and more!

The facotory Z-Bed has been professionally reupholstered as well as the rear sleeping cushion in vented material for comfortable seating and sleeping. The front seats have also been recovered in factory color and materials that were original to this bus. Seat belts for the rear seating area are all present and reside below the cushion. Rear hinged hatch covers are new. The front two hubcaps, and including the rear spare tire hubcap are original to the bus also. Front center console between driver and passenger seats has two cup holders and large interior compartment.

Seat belts up front have been cleaned and the material is excellent condition. Even the inner glove box insert in excellent original condition.

New lenses and lamps as well as seals. Even the dimmer switch for the dash and the hi-low switch for the headlamps function properly. New battery and cables. New hoses, belt and engine seal.

The “Aloha” printed areas are done with and industrial strength vinyl to offer years of coverage and easy cleaning. Additional vinyl pieces will be included in the event any repairs in the future are needed.

Will sell to international buyers and work with all buyers to store the vehicle inside climate controlled area until delivery arrangements can be made.

Sunroof functioning properly however when installer was putting in the interior “Aloha” print screen they forgot to attach it directly to the sliding roof, and when were closing it broke a clip on the left track. We are sourcing this piece now. The sunroof also needs the main seal which will be included and best installed after the clip is inserted. The sunroof is held in place via 4 screws and track placement so not a terribly big job to replace needed part.
