Description of 1968 Volkswagen Type III Notchback |

1968 Notchback. Driver quality car. Not a show car. Factory automatic. Type 4 bus motor swap. Late 90's style gray interior. Brand new chrome steelies and Nankang tires. 4 wheel disc brakes. New Empi dual muffler. New starter. New fuel sending unit. Just lowered 2 clicks front and back. N Body has some bubbles as shown in the pictures. Has two repaired sections in the floor. Done with replacement panels. Has a few other rust areas but really not bad for a VW. Rockers has a few bubbles as well. Wheel wells are solid. Spare tire well is rock solid. The rear decklid has bubbles on lower corners and some surface rust on the inner edges. Engine runs great, just tuned.Trans needs a little work. It doesn't like to go into drive when warm. Going to change fluid a filter this week to see if it makes a difference. The ignition switch is faulty. the key works fine. The spring mechanism doesn't work. an external push button has been added.
