Description of 1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Karmann

This beetle is a Karmann VW convertible (not a Karmann Ghia). It was manufactured in 1969 (based on VIN) but purchased new and/or registered first time in 1970, so it has a 1970 title. It is in good shape. I just had a lot of work done on it (approx $3000) by a VW expert mechanic in Phoenix. I have receipts for the work showing what was all repaired/replaced. Major work includes engine rebuild, fuel tank cleaned out, fuel pump, lines all replaced. The convertible top and inside fabric has been replaced and are brand new (looks great). New rubber seals all around windows. Valves adjusted, brake system flushed, new hoses, battery, new starter, carburetor rebuilt, new gaskets, the list goes on. We poured money into the mechanics of it but not yet into the cosmetics of it. The seat upholstry is all in good condition, just needs cleaned. No holes rips, tears, dry rot or anything. Tires are in good shape. I bought the vehicle in 2003 from a guy who also put a lot of work into it. There are some spare parts that will be included with the vehicle. It needs some body work and interior finishing. All in all, this car runs great and will get you down the road. With a little TLC, it can come back to its former glory. I just never got around to it with a new house and young child, and my post graduate studies, travelling and again, the list goes on. It has been sitting in a garage protected from the elements since the new top and rubber was put on. We start it up on occasion, take it around the block. Needs interior carpet. A few dents and dings w/ flaking paint. It has a spare tire and jack. This car is ready for its new home and some more love. IT is fun to drive with the top down!
