If you have been looking for a classic VW that you can get in and drive, you have found it. The weather is warmso it's time to put the top down and do. The overall condition of the car is very nice and even comes with theOriginal manual, Sales Brochure, German Sales Brochure and even an authentic original VW keychain.We purchased the carabout 18 months ago for our 18 year old daughter.Cosmetically, the car is very nice. I would say that it is in better condition than most of the VW Cabriolets that arefor sale or on the road. The car has never been in any accidents that I am aware of. The paint is very nice and shinesbeautifully in sunlight. It has not been repainted except for a few minor rust spots that we had professionally repairedearlier this year. The only remaining areas that we see any rust are very minor and shown in the photos.Being 27 years old, it is not a “new car” so I will make every effort to describe its imperfections. We've made someupgrades and done some repairs. Here is a list of things that have been done to the car since we had it:BrakesBall JointElectrical System repairsBatterySealsTune UpRegular Oil ChangesFuel FilterNew RadioMechanically, the car runs good and shifts good. It is a 5spd. The only known issues that we are aware of is that itcould use a new wiring harness since some things are wired directly to the battery. This was done by a prior ownerwhen they replaced the radio and we haven't gotten around to fixing it. It also may need adjustments with the CIS Air/fuelmixture and idle.The car has a CLEAR Ohio title, and I have it in hand. Please note that when we recently ran a CarFax it looks like there were something that happened with the title about 10-12 years ago when it was transferred from Florida to Indiana. We don't know what happened but what we do know is that we don't see any signs that the car was a flood car or that it ever had a serious accident. Again, the car currently has a CLEAN Ohio title, however, ebay forces us to list it as Salvage/Rebuilt since the prior issue does show up on the Car Fax. We are happy to share the car fax with anyone seriously interested and you can research as well.The car comes with NO WARRANTY. The car comes AS IS. The buyer isresponsible for all DMV fees and shipping if not local to the Cleveland, Ohio area. Non-Refundable Deposit of $500.00 isdue at the close of the auction, remainder paid within 7 days and prior to transfer of car. I will only accept Cash or Paypal for paymentof the car. Will accept Bank Certified Check but buyer does not take possession of the car until it has cleared our bank.
