Description of 1964 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1964 Split Window VW Bus

I am offering my project original 1964 VW type II 11 window 7 passenger non running bus for sale. It is a walk through. It has been sitting in covered storage for the past 35+ years. When I picked up the bus, I left many critters homeless. The engine compartment was packed with sticks and leaves. There are still some there (sticks and leaves). Mileage unknown.

The interior is worn and missing seats as seen in the photos. The panels are warped from humidity conditions. Rear glass is broken as well as driver windshield. It is missing the window and frame on the driver side first window.

The body panels are original including the doors and hood. The mouse grey paint has faded and oxidized but it is original. The rockers and floors have had “field” repairs as seen. The longitudinals are solid but have superficial rust. There has been no major crash damage.

The engine is seized. I have a photo of the engine number H5128468. From what little I know, it appears to be a ‘66.

.

The wheels are 15” and are there so it can roll. There is a set of 4 14” original bus rims that go with the bus. Some are bent.

The bus needs everything and will be a major project.

I have a clear Kansas title.

Ask any question and I will do my best to answer it honestly. My Ebay feedback supports this. I want this bus to go to a good home and I want the buyer to be happy with the purchase. I have many photos and I am willing to take more. I will have over 100 photos posted on Photo bucket. Contact me for the link.It will be available for inspection by appointment during the auction. Ideally, it should be inspected prior to purchase like any other car. There may have been concerns not mentioned that I have forgotten . The bus is sold “as is, where is” without guarantee written or implied. The car will be picked up at my house and trailered. I will not deliver. I require a Pay-Pal deposit of $500 and the balance in 5 days. The car must be picked up within 30 days. It will not leave here until satisfactory payment has been made. If you cannot meet these requests, please do not bid. Thanks for your interest.
