Description of 1975 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Up for sale is a 1975 VW beetle with a clear title in hand. Originally bought for my son to travel back and forth to college locally, it is no longer needed. He probably put 10k miles on it. Not sure of the real odometer reading. In great shape for being as beetle, the rust on the car is not much at all for a beetle. Apparently someone put new floor pans in at some time as shown in the pictures. Who ever owned the car before us installed a unique key system that converted it to a push button start which i think can be removed pretty easy. The shifter is not standard as well. Someone put some money in the car at one time it seems to fix it up. The car itself has quite large tires on it that give the bug a thicker look and better traction. The car runs well but the carburetor is 50 years old so will probably need to updated or replace for it to run like new. The bug engine has the typical mild oil leaks found in most all beetles but never presented a problem for us. The brake pedal is beginning to get softer but still functions so you will be looking at replacing the master cylinder in the future as well. The car has been running until 3 months ago when we decided to sell it so it has not sat long. the interior of the car is in great shape with what looks like replaced factory type carpet at one point and the headliner looks ok. Seats are ok shape as seen in pictures. The windows must have been tinted aftermarket at one point for it is peeling off at spots. The exhaust functions well and sounds like a typical stinger. We have done nothing but simple maintenance since we got it 2 years ago owing to the fact that the car is a pretty solid daily driver.
This is an As Is auction so look at the pictures close before bidding. There are no returns so if you need more pictures or need clarification on something, just ask.
