| 1979 Volkswagen Beetle!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1979 Volkswagen Beetle that I believe to be one of the finest original cars in the world!!!! This gorgeous Beetle convertible is being offered for the 1st time EVER! This beautifully preserved 3800 mile Beetle is a one owner car and is truly the best "preserved" car I have ever seen. This car is an absolute time capsule and is one of the final 5000 Beetle convertibles produced in Germany. . I have never see a 40ish year old car with paint that is virtually flawless and truly virtually showroom condition. The chrome and trim on this car is outstanding... even the convertible top is in remarkable condition. This car has always been lovingly cared for and garaged by its 1st and only owner. This car has not been neglected it has seen sparing use and regular maintenance and upkeep. This car was the “baby” of the original owner couple who purchased the vehicle as homage to their love of Volkswagens. Unlike the mail delivery slogan of the past, this car has never seen rain, sleet, snow or any water other than regular hand washings. It has led a sheltered existence with outings to car shows, parades, and an occasional Cruise on Central – a local PHX tradition. The car retains its original sales invoice, owners manuals, jack, and even the original window sticker!!!
One look at this Beetle and you will realize that this is not like any of the cars on eBay, this is something special and this vw just has that great crisp look to it. Many times on eBay people will over describe there cars and the car will end up disappointing its new owner. I feel the opposite is going to happen here. This car is in absolutely remarkable original condition!!! I truly hope it shows in this listing. I have been around classic cars for a very long time and participated in concours shows... and this car blows me away. The car even retains the "stamps" on the backside of the drums! Its cosmetic condition is absolutely incredible. I truly don't think a nice car can be found.

Click to enlarge Exterior:This Beetle looks fantastic still sporting its original A1 Lemon Yellow paint. The car retains its original paint and looks absolutely remarkable. The paint is virtually flawless with the only tiny chip being on the gas door (pictured). One of the best things about original cars is that they haven't been taken apart... which means the doors open and shut with amazing precision and all of the panels line up beautifully The body is LASER straight and looks beautiful. The body lines and seams on this car are virtually flawless. This is the nicest original paint I have ever seen on a car. Again, this is a solid rust free Volkswagen! !! The paint has a very "deep" look and has great shine and depth. All of the rubber seals are all in great condition considering there age. The only thing really showing age on the exterior of the car is the plastic chrome insert around the windshield... THATS IT! All of the lights and lens are perfectly clear as well as free from cracks and damage. You could easily bring this car to a high level car show and show it with pride, or in a discerning collection. Overall the exterior is in incredibly nice original condition.
Interior: The interior of this Super Beetle is literally like new and in excellent condition. The front seats are like new and in excellent shape. They are free of stains, rips and tears. The dash pad is in perfect condition and is free of cracks etc... In-fact all of the interior is almost perfect in every way. I am not sure anyone has ever sat in the back seat. There is even a little sticker in the back regarding the operation of the fold down seats that I am sure most dealers removed upon delivery. Every courtesy light, every gauge etc... are all in great working order. The convertible top is like new... its amazing how well preserved it is. I would expect the top to have some dry rot or something... but the top literally looks new. The only down fall is the headliner on the top does have a little sag... but again it is ALL ORIGINAL! Whats amazing is the factory clock still works! Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and in amazing original condition. Click to enlarge Engine: The classic air cooled 4 cylinder fires right up and runs like a top. It always starts and runs and the car has been well maintained throughout its ownership. One of the most amazing things is that the car retains the original stamps on the backside of the brakes. Its amazing that it hasn't washed off or faded after nearly 40 years! The car has seen regular service despite its low mileage and was also treated to tires not too long ago to keep the car safe and road worthy. The car steers beautifully and the car tracks perfectly down the road. The bottom side of this Super Beetle is just as you would expect from a 3800 mile car... It is completely rust free! The car comes with all of the factory original manuals and jack. The car is actually fun to drive because the car just makes everyone smile!!! Once you share that it has 3800 original miles people just can't believe it.
