This Classic 1965 VW been garaged for the last 22 years, I bought it in 95' in So Cal running, already lowered - I trailered it back Oregon w/ me and drove it around for awhile, it kept popping out of 2nd gear - So I parked it with the intention of doing a tranny resto. It sat for the last 20 years. This is a rare Front Bucket Seat "walk through" model.The interior was stripped out when I bought it, It had incurred some front end damage and the owner started to pull the dents out, their is also minor body damage on the side he had started to pull out as well and it still sits that way today. This VW is totally DRY, NO RUST Damage - SOLID BODY - it has some minor surface rust areas BUT ZERO rot. It has All the original VW (glass) windows and all the original body. 3 years ago I started a custom Resto starting with a new Transmission built by Strictly Foreign, I purchased a NEW Wolfsburg West gas tank, I purchased Brand new rear "Wide5.net" offsets to set the lowered body properly, purchased brand new shocks Foreign Import, I purchased 4 brand new series 45 tires, Purchased all brand new brake sets, installed but not tested, brand new starter. In Addition the entire underneath is treated with High quality 3M Undercoating. The VW has original bumpers, all original body. The 1600 engine ran strong when I parked it and it sits as is - I haven't touched it in 20 years, I was just getting ready to dig in, My goal was to get this beauty running for my daughter in high school, she has now graduated and I need College money!!
