Description of 1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Camper

Vehicle will also include one Fiamma T3 bicycle carrier ($400 value) and one Engel low-wattage combo refrigerator/freezer ($1,150 value). Engine rebuilt 3,000 miles ago. HD Transmission rebuilt 1,200 miles ago. OEM front end steering rack replaced 1,200 miles ago. Extras added; HD aux battery, Sirius/XM ready CD radio w/ 4 speakers, soundproofing throughout body, rebuilt AC, extra lighting for both battery and plug in, second skylight, zipper vented canvas top, 2 trickle chargers. Extra installed power and USB strips with individual on/off switches for battery conservation. All tires & wheels updated to Michelin 15" for extra stability.
This amazing camper is ready to go on a road trip right now! Propane stove and fresh water holding tank w/pump both work and are used regularly. Handles well, will cruise well above 70 mph (though not recommended) has all repair and maintenance records, DOES have minimal rust on both side rear quarter-panels but is otherwise intact. Very comfortable swivel captain's chairs in front. I've owned it for 7+ years, travelled and lived out of it for a year, and have had nothing but joy with it...but I'm now looking for a small tow behind trailer and it's time to pass this on to the next adventurer. Will connect you with my (nationally known and recommended) mechanic for one-on-one questions upon request.
