Description of 1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

PRICE REDUCED 1967 Volkswagen Split Window Single Cab/Transporter. This was my Dad's truck that he used as a daily commuter for many years. The original 1600cc engine didn't have a lot of power and wasn't a lot of fun to drive. My Dad later made some modifications and put a 2200cc engine in the truck. Now the truck is fun to drive. It currently has a rebuilt 2200cc engine with dual Weber's. Ray Vallero from Auburn California built the engine a few years ago. Ray passed away but is a local VW legend (you can look him up online). The new engine has less than 100 miles on it. When the engine was ungraded to the 2200cc engine the shroud/fan is now too close to the rear deck lid which will cause the engine to overheat. Some modifications need to be made to keep it from overheating. I haven't been willing to drive the truck much without having made these modifications. When I do drive it I drive it with the rear deck lid up to ensure that it doesn't overheat. There’s a lot of really cool custom stuff like the interior kick panels, door panels and head liner were made out of wood that has been stained and sealed. When the engine was upgraded to the 2200cc engine the heater box’s no longer fit. My Dad spent about 60 hours combining a set of heater box’s from the original 1600cc engine and the new 2200cc engine. The heat in the cab works great. While the body has small dents or creases there’s nothing to big. Not a lot of rust like you see on some of the old Volkswagen's. This is a cool truck in great shape.
