1978 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible - local California car 1978 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible - local California car Description Hi - You are bidding on a local 1978 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. Older paint job that shows well from 10 feet. There are a few small blemishes and a small amount of bubbling - but nothing serious. Convertible top is in good shape just the the inside headliner has a two inch rip near the rear window. Floors are solid and I did have a repair done where the battery is,posted in one of the photos, which is a common problem on all these Beetles. Engine was removed and resealed and fully tuned and comes with a California emission certificate. Clutch is good and gear shift was replaced with an after market shifter. Everything works as it should which include the electricals. Tires are near brand new. Car runs and drives great. This car at one stage was towed behind an RV - there are still the links on the front suspension. Overall this is a nice example of a 70s convertible. We are licensed and bonded dealers in Redondo Beach. If you intend to purchase the vehicle and you reside in California please budget for the tax and license and registration which will be added to the purchase price of the car.
